The team were up against stiff competition from some major Plc companies in the UK, the likes of Canon, Starbucks, Capgemini, and the MoD.
Their activities included:
Day One: A 13 mile hill climb race ascending over 973 metres, a 14 mile time navigation trek where at each check point they has to solve cryptic puzzles.
Day Two: A 9 mile navigation canoe, a 9 mile on foot orienteering race, followed by 29 miles mountain biking over Exmoor.
Day Three: 29 mile mountain bike ride with set krypton factor type physical and metal challenges, which included a wall climb, an engineering task, a sea swim and a memory test.
After day one the team were placed 8th, after day two they had moved up to 4th place, 59 points behind the leaders. On day three all the stops were pulled out and the whole team gave 100% effort. Blood, sweat and tears was the resultant output which enabled the team to achieve 17 out of the 20 check points.
The Team, with your help, managed to raise just over £5,000 in total, this money will go to help the Prince’s Trust enable numerous young people to turn their life around and be supported through their transition.
Special thanks also go to the team’s major sponsors, Annord- FSD JV, Kington Process and Industrial Valves, each giving more than £500 in support of the event.
