Lord Mayor visits Enpure.

The Mayor was particularly interested to learn how a company working in the water, waste and energy sectors worldwide was able to develop technologies using local suppliers and how it continued to use the apprenticeship programme to train young people in the engineering sector, something the company is extremely proud of. The Directors were able to show the Mayor how the company was doing its bit for the local economy with the spending trend heavily weighted to various local companies as well as a large percentage of employment coming from the local area.  The Mayor was delighted to see this as it is an area he is particularly passionate about.

During his visit the Mayor was introduced to four young people who had come through the Apprentice programme and who were actively involved in important elements of our project work. At a time where recession is hitting hard it is important that companies continue to invest in young people.
