The Rotoclave® system
Rotoclave® technology was originally developed for the treatment of Municipal Solids Waste (MSW). The combination of high temperature, pressure and moisture, in conjunction with the unique method of agitation, ensures that all materials have the right amount of contact with the sterlising steam.
The Rotoclave® effectively breaks down and pulps all biodegradable materials in the waste, including paper and card, into an organic fibre or pulp. The treated material is readily separated into the organic fibre or pulp and clean recyclates. The Rotoclave® achieves a very high capture of BMW (Biodegradable Municipal Waste) into the pulp fraction and does not produce an RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) fraction for disposal.
Rotoclave® technology is widely used around the world. Currently there are more than 60 Rotoclave® installations worldwide, with around 100 Rotoclave® units of various sizes in operation.
