What is it?
Anaerobic digestion is the natural biological conversion of organic materials to methane and carbon dioxide which takes place in the absence of oxygen.
Why do we use it ?
Anaerobic digestion is used to break down waste materials in a sealed system and without significant energy input. The process takes place in sealed reactors minimizing the environmental impact, and the biogas produced can be converted to electrical energy using a combined heat and power system (CHP). Overall the process is energy positive. A stabilized output is produced which can be applied to land or further processed by thermal drying for beneficial use
This technology is proven and has a demonstratable track record and importantly it works. Enpure can offer many reference plants for this technology.
